Bothy Residential to Tranish Island, Upper Lough Erne
Every summer, it has became a part of YMCA Lurgan tradition to take a group of young people out of Lurgan and paddle across a Lough to an island. This island is isolated away from everywhere else and the only way you can get to main land it by paddling. There, the young people learn different things from how to pitch a tent to even cooking a meal. These islands have no electric and no running water so at night the only light you have will come from either the moon, flashlight or candle.
This residential is enjoyed by almost all of the young people because it is a different kind of residential from what they are normally used to and they get to light fires as well.
